🚩 St George’s Day Parade
The Lambeth St George’s Day Parade is returning! Meeting at Nightingale Walk, Scouts will parade to the Bandstand on Clapham Common for renewal of promises, presentation of awards, and some games.
Who? Lambeth Scouts from all sections
Where? Meeting point: Nightingale Walk, Clapham Common
Why? To celebrate St George’s Day, involve our Scouts in the local community, and to bring Scouts from different groups across Lambeth together for some fun activities after the parade!
When? Sunday 26th April, meet at 11:30am and activities finish by 3:00pm
Cost? Free, but nominal donation per group to cover small activity costs after the parade
Any other info? Minibuses are available from Wandsworth Community Transport to get your Scouts to and from the event if needed. Please indicate this on the form below.
How to book? Please fill out the booking form below on behalf of your group.
We will meet at Nightingale Walk for 11:30 (Parade to depart @ 12:00)
@ 12:00 We will head to Clapham Common Bandstand with the colour party (Flags)
Once we arrive at the Bandstand the Colour party will parade onto the Stand with the remaining members surrounding the bandstand.
We will then greet everyone and renew our promises for each section along with any presentations and awards that need to be handed out.
The final dismissal will be the colour party leaving the bandstand.
Where we will then have a celebration picnic on the common.
We aim to be finished by 15:00
If any group requires transport to the venue then please let Jimmy know ASAP so that he can book the bus for you. (Deadline for transport is Friday 3rd April)
There is no cost to the minibuses. If groups want to leave before 15:00 and you have transport please let us know via the booking form so we can arrange your return journey.
