Be a Scouting champion and complete a one mile loop in front of Buckingham Palace, crossing the world famous London Marathon finishing line!
The Lambeth Scouts Programme Team have been in discussion with the London Marathon Events Team and are excited to bring you, once again, the Vitality Westminster Mile – Scouts Wave 2026!
Held in the heart of London, the Vitality Westminster Mile takes place on a spectacular course that starts on The Mall and finishes in front of Buckingham Palace. The family-friendly accessible mile takes place on Saturday 26 September 2026 and is completely free for Scouting members and their families (using our link). Every participant receives a beautiful medal. You’ll also get free entry to the fantastic Vitality Wellness Festival in Green Park!
Who? Lambeth Scouts Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Network, Leadership Volunteers, and their families (of all ages and abilities)
Where? A mile loop around The Mall and Buckingham Palace!
When? Saturday 26th September 2026 12:55pm (you’ll need to be in place 45 minutes before).

How to book? You must book direct using the event link below. The event will also be shared with your sections on OSM to sign up, so we can see how many Lambeth Scouts are joining us to cheer on at the Start line!
Scouts’ Vitality Westminster Mile 2026 – Book Now!
Please be aware this event is organised and run by London Marathon Events, and is televised. Groups are individually responsible for ratio’s when booking together (see guidance in the booking form), and families are encouraged to book direct so we get even more people involved in the fun. Please be aware this is a public event and all young people should be appropriately supervised.
Once again, we have got some fun surprises planned which will make you smile! This year our Scouting cheer squad will be from Lambeth Scouts. If you think you have what it takes to lift Scouting spirits, and join the cheer team on the starting line, please get in touch with the Lambeth Scouts team – fancy dress and loud voices mandatory! It’s going to be HUGE!
Finally – please ensure you wear a necker so that we can showcase our fantastic young people!
