Lead Volunteers
Konrad Bishop
District Lead Volunteer
Konrad has been involved in Scouting for much of his life, first as a Cub, Scout and Venture Scout, and later as a Beaver Leader while completing his PhD.
He returned to Scouting around ten years ago, joining 4th South Lambeth Scout Group as a Beaver Leader before going on to lead the Cub section. He later became Joint Group Lead Volunteer, helping to support the Group’s growth and development.
Konrad is now Lambeth District Lead Volunteer alongside Remy. Together, they are committed to supporting volunteers, strengthening Scout Groups across the District and enabling more young people to enjoy the opportunities, adventure and personal development that Scouting offers.
Outside Scouting, Konrad works as a civil servant and lives in South London with his husband and son.
Remy Maxwell-Thompson
District Lead Volunteer
Remy joined 4th Streatham Sea Scouts in 2013 as a 9-year-old Cub, and has moved up through Scouts, being a Young Leader, and now a volunteer.
As joint District Lead Volunteer since Summer 2025, Remy works with Konrad to oversee Scouting across all of Lambeth.
Outside of Scouts, Remy studies Psychology with Neuroscience at university!

Trustee Board
Alan Walker
District Chair
Alan has been a Scout parent since 2014 and became District Chair in June 2023.
He is also Chair of the Trustees at 2nd Streatham Hill Group and marked 10 years as a Scout Trustee in 2026.
His day jobs span business development, conference moderation and specialist Director training; he is also a community gardener, sings in two choirs and sometimes teaches others to sing too.
He lives in South London with his wife and two children.
Jackie Hanwell
District TreasurerJackie has been involved in Scouts since April 1999, currently serving as the District Treasurer and the Treasurer for 22nd Streatham.
She is also a Team Member at Earhart Explorers, helping with administration and accounts.
Before her retirement, Jackie was a Finance Director for an Advertising company across the UK and Europe.
She lives in South London with her husband and family.
