Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025

Date: 17th June 2025 Location: Streatham Conservative Club Sections: Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Scout Network, Volunteers, Parents

The Lambeth District AGM will be held on Tuesday 17 June 2025 at the Streatham Conservative Club – 111 Blegborough Road, Upper Tooting SW16 6DL. The doors will open at 7pm and the meeting will start at 7.30pm.

 

Refreshments will be available to purchase before the meeting starts and we invite you to join us for a bite to eat from the buffet alongside the formal business of the AGM.

Nominations are invited for the roles of Chair and Treasurer and for membership of the Lambeth District Trustee Board as a Trustee.

 

Please let me know by email (chair.lambethscouts@gmail.com) no later than Saturday 31 May if you would like to stand for membership.

 

Up to 10 Trustees will be appointed to the Trustee Board. If there are more candidates than places then an election may be held during the meeting.

 

The District Lead Volunteer and District Youth Lead are both ex officio members of the Trustee Board. Where there are joint role holders, only one of them may be an ex officio member of the District Trustee Board.

 

There is a maximum of 12 seats available.

 

All members of the District Scout Council may vote at the AGM and they are:

 

– all adult members with a role in the District
– all Group Lead Volunteers and members of each Group Leadership Team from the District
– all Group Leadership Team Members of each Group in the District
– all Group Section Team Members of each Group in the District
– all Group Trustee Board Chairs from the District
– all Group Trustee Board Treasurers from the District

– all Explorers (including Young Leaders) in the District
– all members of the Scout Network in the District
– all parents and carers of all Explorers (including Young Leaders) in the District
– a representative of the District Troop Leadership Forum,
selected from amongst the membership of the Forum
– the County Lead Volunteer
– the County Chair

 

Any other attendees will not be able to vote.

If any member of the District Scout Council has any question for the Trustee Board they would like addressed during the AGM, please send it to me (chair.lambethscouts@gmail.com) by Friday 6 June.
