Cold Frontier 2026

Date: 7th Feb 2026 Author: Remy Maxwell-Thompson

8th Lambeth volunteers David Liddle and Will Akhurst are leading a team of nine in the ‘Pull & Peak – Cold Frontier’ expedition in Norway! They include two-time Olympic medallist, Fatima Whitbread MBE, and are trekking at temperatures as low as -30°C.

‘Our Scouts experience in terms of skills has been incredible,’ said David, ‘from helping the team get camp set up, to ensuring everyone is coping with the severe temperatures and is kept well fed. The big takeaway is resilience: a can-do attitude in the harshest environment.’

The team taking part are David Liddle, Fatima Whitbread MBE, Jamie Annetts, Luke Jellicoe, Mick Cullen BEM, Nicky Poi, Sam Donaldson, Tanner H Hicks and Will Akhurst.
